At Aptiva Health, we ensure a comfortable and relaxing MRI experience for all of our patients across multiple campuses. Unlike other facilities, we utilize MRI machines that accommodate larger patients and go to additional steps to minimize claustrophobia. Our facilities are equipped with Siemens Espree Magnetom units that are wide-bore and short-bore. The wide bore opening allows for larger patients to fit comfortably while the short bore of the magnet translates to more than 70% of exams being completed with the patient’s head outside of the machine. We also enlist the use of a fixed-site Phillips Panorama high field Open MRI, meaning that the MRI is not a tube or enclosed. With a 360-degree panoramic viewing angle the Panorama HFO allows for a much more enjoyable experience for anxious, elderly, obese, or claustrophobic patients.
